As part of the research project, "Jewish Heritage in Ukraine: Interdisciplinary Reflections Through the Prism of Archival Documents, Culture, History, and Literature," which was implemented under a partnership agreement with UNESCO, the search and research phase has been completed. From October 2025 to February 2026, the research team, consisting of Tetiana Borodina, Taisa Sydorchuk, Anna Umanska, and Nadiia Ufimtseva, conducted thorough research on materials from 24 Ukrainian archives, libraries, and museums. As a result, they identified and processed 67 archival collections containing unique documents on the history and culture of the Jewish people. The materials are presented in Hebrew, Yiddish, Polish, German, French, and English.
This systematized documentary heritage constitutes a substantial source base for further interdisciplinary research. The project's outcomes open new opportunities for integrating archival materials into educational processes and implementing cultural and educational initiatives that study and promote the multifaceted historical experience of the Jewish community in Ukraine.
