On May 27, 2026, an international roundtable will bring together Ukrainian and international scholars to discuss Ukrainian-Jewish historical memory, the traumatic experiences of the 20th century, the politics of memory and contemporary approaches to understanding the past. The discussion will focus on the Holocaust and the Holodomor, the impact of totalitarian propaganda on the formation of historical narratives, postmemory, silence surrounding trauma and the multiculturalism of Kyiv.
On 1–2 July 2026, the concluding event of the project "Jewish Heritage in Ukraine: interdisciplinary reflections through the prism of archival documents, culture, history, and literature" will take place. The project is being implemented in partnership with UNESCO and with the financial support of the European Union.
As part of the research project, "Jewish Heritage in Ukraine: Interdisciplinary Reflections Through the Prism of Archival Documents, Culture, History, and Literature," which was implemented under a partnership agreement with UNESCO, the search and research phase has been completed.
The Virtual Museum of Jewish history and culture of Ukraine presents a new exhibition section dedicated to the archives of Jewish writers. This project was created by the cultural heritage research group within the framework of the «Jewish Heritage in Ukraine» initiative.
