The collective monograph «Imagological Studies: Ukrainians and Jews in the Mirror of Literature»

The collective monograph «Imagological Studies: Ukrainians and Jews in the Mirror of Literature» has been published, bringing together research devoted to Ukrainian-Jewish relations in literature and culture.

The publication includes materials from participants of the research project «The Jewish Heritage in Ukraine: Interdisciplinary Reflections through the Lens of Archival Documents, Culture, History, and Literature».

The authors draw on a wide range of texts and periods — from early literature to works of the 20th–21st centuries. The monograph examines images of Jews in Ukrainian literature and of Ukrainians in Jewish literature, the features of their representation in literary texts, as well as questions of identity, memory, stereotypes, and mutual cultural perception.

The full text of the monograph is available online.

The publication was prepared as part of the project «The Jewish Heritage in Ukraine: Interdisciplinary Reflections through the Lens of Archival Documents, Culture, History, and Literature», implemented by the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy with the support of UNESCO Ukraine and the European Union in Ukraine.
